We verify agents based on the values clients care about most: honesty, responsiveness, clear communication, and client-first service. This isn’t about flashy branding or sales volume. It’s about how you show up for the people you serve.To apply, you’ll submit three recent client references from the past two years. Not all references need to respond. As long as we receive enough helpful feedback to verify your approach, your application can move forward. We personally review your responses to ensure a strong standard of care, professionalism, and ethical support.If approved, you’ll earn Verified Trusted Agent Status, valid for one full year from your approval date. For example, if approved in July 2025, your status is active until July 2026. You can continue using your dated badge after that, but to remain current, you’ll need to reapply and meet the latest standards.There’s no fee to apply. The $99 CAD fee is only charged once you’re approved and covers your status for the full year. Any licensed real estate professional in the Greater Toronto Area can apply. This includes residential, commercial, rental, and leasing agents. You must have at least two past clients who can speak to your service within the last 24 months.What is the cost?
It is free to apply. If your application is successful, the Verified Trusted Agent Status costs a one-time fee of $99 CAD. This covers one full year from the date of approval and payment. You are only charged if you are approved.What if the Verified Agent Directory isn’t live yet? Is the $99 still worth it?
Yes! Once approved, you receive everything included in the Verified Trusted Agent Status: a professional certificate, a time-stamped digital badge, and a credibility toolkit you can start using right away. These assets are designed to help you build trust across your website, listings, email signature, and social media—even before the directory goes live.
The public directory is a bonus feature currently in development. It will launch soon, and your name will be added automatically once it does. Your status remains valid and valuable whether or not the directory is live.Do I need all three clients to respond?
No. You are asked to submit three recent client references, but not all three need to respond. If we receive enough clear and relevant feedback to verify your service, your application can still be approved. Top Agents Toronto is not a public review site. We do not collect or display star ratings. We reach out to your real past clients and verify your service privately. This allows for a more honest review process and prevents gaming or manipulation. We focus on real service, not rankings.Is this verification guaranteed to improve my business?

Top Agents Toronto Verified Trusted Agent StatusBy continuing with your application for Verified Trusted Agent Status, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined below. These terms apply to all applicants seeking verification through Top Agents Toronto.Service Overview
Top Agents Toronto provides a third-party verification process that recognizes individual real estate professionals who demonstrate client-first service. Verification is based on client references and a manual review of the information you submit. This includes confirming licensing status where applicable. We do not perform background checks or disciplinary reviews.Verification Fee
The verification fee of $99 CAD is charged only after your application is approved. This fee covers the preparation and delivery of your Verified Trusted Agent Status materials, including a dated digital badge, certificate, and access to the agent credibility toolkit. The $99 CAD fee is non-refundable once paid. If you choose not to move forward after approval, no payment is required and no verification materials will be issued.One-Year Term of Status

These were clients with experience buying, selling, renting, and managing both residential and commercial properties. The results paint a clear picture of what clients care about and where trust fits into the decision-making process.
Trust Is the Deciding Factor
When asked about their top priority in choosing a real estate agent, 80% of clients said trust. It ranked well above factors like getting the best deal or avoiding costly mistakes. Clients want to know that their agent is reliable, honest, and genuinely has their best interests in mind. It’s not about who looks the most successful. It’s about who they believe will actually support them through the process.

Clients Want Proof - Not Promises
In situations where a client doesn’t have an existing relationship with an agent, most said they want some kind of validation before reaching out. 71% said a personal referral would increase their confidence. 52% said verified feedback from past clients would make them feel more secure. Another 27% said they’d feel better if a third-party platform confirmed the agent’s credibility.People aren’t just guessing or clicking on whoever has the most reviews. More than half of the people we surveyed said they had worked with an agent who made them feel unsupported. Some described being rushed, pressured, or ignored. When asked whether independent verification would make a difference, 60% of clients said yes. Another 38% said it would help, even if they would still want to do their own research.
